POSITION OVERVIEW

Systems Engineer

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Salary: $220,000 - $236,800 annually

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apply systems engineering principles across full lifecycle phases (Concept to Retirement) while interacting with government and executives on technical matters. Ensure technical integrity/quality for ISO/IEC 15288 process areas including Technical/Project/Enterprise/Agreement processes. Manage storage solutions including purchases for classified/cloud/server environments.

## KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply SE principles in lifecycle phases: Concept/Development/Production/Utilization/Support/Retirement
• Interact with government/program personnel/executives on technical issues
• Manage 25 ISO/IEC 15288 process areas (Stakeholder Reqts, Arch Design, Integration/Verification, Risk Mgmt, etc.)
• Oversee storage solutions/purchases for classified/cloud/servers

## REQUIRED SKILLS

• File systems (XFS, Lustre/GPFS/CephFS, NFS, EXT4)
• IOPS performance testing/plans
• HW configs (RAID 0-10, Grid RAID, Sharding)
• Storage networks (SAN, Ethernet, Infiniband, Slingshot)
• Storage types/interfaces (Flash/NAND SSD, M.2/SATA/PCIe NVMe)
• Smart data; monitor storage networks/bus/devices
• Linux commands/OS structure
• Programming (Python preferred)
• Computing/CPU architecture (Cache/cores/Controllers)

## EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• HS Diploma/GED +19 yrs SE exp OR Bachelor's Qualified Eng/related +15 yrs OR Master's +13 yrs OR PhD +13 yrs
• Significant storage management exp (classified/cloud/servers)

## CLEARANCE & LOCATION

• Clearance: TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph (current in last 7 yrs, no later than 2021); may accept CI Poly in 3-5 yrs
