Senior Principal Oracle Database Administrator

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Supports 1.5PB Oracle 19c RAC on RHEL 8.x physical/virtual envs. Installs/maints/troubleshoots OS/DB/upgrades/patching/RMAN/performance/security/firmware, collaborates with teams/customers/Oracle support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install/maint/troubleshoot RHEL 8.x/Oracle 19c pluggable/container/RAC.
• Perform upgrades/patching.
• Validate backups/recovery (RMAN).
• Monitor/troubleshoot performance.
• Provide on-demand/Oracle support.
• Work with product/gov/contractor teams.
• Remediate STIGs/vulns/firmware (HPE/HP SAN/NFS/ZFS).
• Daily customer comms/reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 14+ years RHEL/Oracle tasks.
• Oracle RDBMS/partitioning/text/grid/ASM/RMAN/SQL/PLSQL/RAC/scripting.
• Networking (routing/switching/firewalls/protocols/certs).
• Server hardware/patching.
• Cloud/N-Tier/Java apps/Oracle certs/Cisco/etc (Nice).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s CS/IS/Cyber or equiv.

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI Full Scope Poly
• Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT II+
• Work Location: Onsite
• Employment: Full Time
