Backend Node Developer (Senior) - Full-Time Role

Location: United States

Salary: $69,400 - $158,000 annually

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with expertise in Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks to join our team developing mission-critical software solutions. In this role, you will design and develop scalable applications using Agile methodologies, modern architecture patterns, and cloud technologies. You will work with clients to understand requirements, architect end-to-end solutions, and deliver production-ready software that drives mission success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, modify, develop, and implement software applications using Agile methodologies
• Develop backend solutions using Node.js and Express frameworks
• Design and implement robust database solutions using MongoDB and SQL platforms
• Architect full-stack solutions considering current and future system requirements
• Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Develop and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Implement security best practices and compliance requirements in code
• Engage with customers to interpret requirements and architect technical solutions
• Mentor junior developers on technical standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 4+ years of professional experience designing and implementing software applications using Agile methods
• 4+ years of professional experience in software development with core programming languages and web frameworks
• 3+ years of professional experience with Node.js and Express backend development
• Expertise in Database Design using MongoDB and SQL
• Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container technologies
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with authentication frameworks such as Keycloak
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of professional experience as a full-stack or backend developer
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile team environments
• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation preferred
• AWS Certification preferred
• CompTIA Security+ Certification preferred
